A Friend of mine, that I have competed with told me about the Muxall BBQ controller Beta, after he did not get in with his Rectec, figuring I had nothing to lose, I applied for the Beta and got in... I have an older Cookshack FEC100, My cooker has all Traeger Guts and I Have been looking for a controller for it for several years. The Cookshack Upgrade is 2500 dollars, parts are now proprietary and only available from Cookshack, to me, this was a nonstarter, the controller cost $1000 more than I bought the entire cooker for.. now the Muxall controller was originally made for Traegers, Pit bosses, Zgrills, and anything that ran on an Ortech type controller.. any lighter weight backyard grills. not my giant, heavily insulated commercial type cooker. Well Michael Crane is one hell of an engineer.. we tweaked, tuned, and bug hunted for months.. found and fixed several bugs. the more we worked, the better the cooker ran. I am now fully convinced this was a far better choice for a controller than the 2500 dollar "upgrade". it is so much more versatile than the IQ5 system. from wifi to the web app, the ability to tune this controller specifically for this cooker on the fly. and still, be able to replace every electronic part in my cooker for less than 100 bucks if something burns out... it allows me the ability to have a couple of igniters, fans, auger motors, and RTDs on hand... a complete set of parts to replace is less than most single items in the upgrade saving a lot of money and downtime waiting for a customer service order from Cookshack, Don't get me wrong, I Love my Cookshack, they have excellent customer service and products. I just don't have the kind of loose cash on hand to replace their proprietary parts. Competitions are expensive. Meat is expensive. Maintaining your cooker shouldn't be. I've now been using this Controller for about 8 months. It actually pained me having to send a second one I was testing for another user back... I don't want to cook without these controllers now. These are a handmade product from a real family type company, that has just been a wonderful experience. any issues? Michael is on top of it. he is very open and transparent in his build process and lets the world see the triumphs and the small miscues at every step of the process. he is receptive and engaging with his clients. to me this is really a great way to keep customers engaged and excited about the process. and to top it off he is a helluva nice guy.. at this point. I don't see myself using any other type of controller

Why do I like the Muxall! Someone stated we were Super Dorks using a computer with only 4 or 5 owners, Guess I'm a "Super Dork", with a 4 year degree in Law Enforcement, 38 years as Law Enforcement Officer, 50+ years as a Stick Burner! But I do enjoy my Muxall,, along with Many, many, many more owners then 5! Reliable, precise, and stabile! I have Several controllers in my possession and so for,, None have come up to this Quality! And, I can check it and control it with my phone, tablet, laptop or desktop!

It told my cook by probe to tell me when it was done! and I went out to see! And guess what! It was spot on dead on..I been beta testing for Muxall controller for over a 1.2 years and they are now in full blow production now. Mike Crane the inventor of the controller just sent me mine back because I worn out the plugs from testing the controller and he put all new h.c harness on it. But. This is how this awesome guy works....he updated my beta #1 controller to his latest pc version v3 board I think. And I didn't ask him to.....the potting of the new board was so incredibly perfect. This why and how awesome of a beautiful person that someone would dedicate not only his time but his own expense to upgrade a beta tester unit to the almost production unit....un believable this guy I give my time to beta testing to his device and he comes back 8 times fold and still improves and impressing me to the fullest extent and beyond...I give you the Nobel Prize. The first and most recognized scientific award you could ever get....
